MONDAY NIGHT TRIPLES. With great delighted we are able to confirm that, following a tightly contested match against St Crispin last evening, our Monday Evening Mens Triples “A” team, came away with a 5 points to nil win, ENSURING PROMOTION BACK TO DIVISION 3.  Congratulations and well done to all the squad members who contributed to the team’s success over the season. A special mention for the team captain, Mike Edwards, who had some difficult team selections at times, but managed to steer us to success.  Onwards & upwards.

OUTDOOR SEASON.  As we come towards the end of the outdoor season, thank you to everyone who has taken part in our mid-week and Saturday friendlies. Please continue to support your Captains of the day by putting your name down on the availability sheets for the remaining matches.  As in previous years, we shall be holding an end of season meeting, provisionally booked for Tuesday 27th of September, to discuss what went well, what can be improved  and what we want next seasons fixtures to look like.  More details to follow nearer the meeting date.

SHORT MAT. Thursday morning short mat sessions will start again from 1st of September together alongside the Tuesday morning sessions. Evening sessions will be arranged depending on demand.  Plans are being developed for our Friday evening and Saturday afternoon club league competitions and entries submitted to the Northants Short Mat Bowls Association (NSMBA) Day & Evening leagues.  Lists will be put on notice boards shortly for individuals to take part in these competitions.

LINE DANCING. A reminder that the new season of line dancing gets under way on Wednesday 31st August starting at 2:00pm.  This will run alongside the Presidents Cup competition (when we shall unveiling our new club flag) on this first Wednesday, but there should not be any problems.

SOCIAL EVENTS. The Social Committee met this week to start planning our autumn/winter social events. Anyone willing to help with the planning & organising, please speak to Tony Muff.

It’s all happening at HBC – look forward to seeing you soon.

Line dancing recommences on 31st August. Details available form Tony Muff
